This LED bulb is very compact in size, and the LEDs are encased in a silica gel providing a unique waterproof G4 bulb. This bulb is the most popular replacement for a 10 watt G4 Halogen bulb, it puts out approximately 20% more light than the standard 10 watt bulb, and draws a fraction of the power. It's silica gel coating provides it an extra long life in harsh marine environments, as it not only protects it from direct water contact, but from humidity and condensation. This bulb is often used for surface and flush mount dome lights, as well as many courtesy lights. You can retrofit a socket into almost every light fixture to incorporate this bulb, however many light fixtures already have a standard g4 bulb, and this bulb will fit directly in.  This bulb is also approximately the same size as the standard G4 halogen bulb and provides 360 degree light dispersion, making it an almost universal fit.
