This bulb is completely waterproof, and is one of the highest quality double contact LED bulbs on the market. It provides more light than your standard 20 watt incandescent bulb, while drawing less than 5 watts. Providing over 550 lumens of light in all different directions, this is a great replacement led for almost every 1142 bulb on the market. Due to drawing 5 watts, this bulb does generate some heat compared to other LED bulbs on the market, but still remains cooler than the standard 20 watt bulb. Available in both cool white and warm white, you can choose the bulb that suits your application the best. Most often, cool white bulbs are used in exterior fixtures as well as in the galley. Warm white bulbs are often used in interior light fixtures, especially in reading lights.
